Natalie Hughes is an associate at build integration firm, Xibitz in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Natalie Hughes joined Xibitz in October of 2016 after contracting as a designer in the political sector on congressional and grassroots campaigns. As a graduate from Kendall College of Art and Design Natalie’s background in Graphic Design and Industrial Design led her to Experience Design.
Natalie Hughes’s thesis was on Collaborative Museum Studies, where she was part of a team in 2010 that developed a joint venture of 8 Museums that re-examined the public museums role in the community producing a cross-disciplinary multi-museum exhibition. Since, Kendall College of Art and Design has an exhibition partnership that still exists today with its students.
With a focus on design thinking Natalie Hughes strives to innovate and simplify, further bridging the gap from design to build.
As a member of the Xibitz team, she has contributed to many projects in partnership with Perkins and Will, HOK, Gensler, Kahler Slater and Downstream. Some of those include NCAA Headquarters, Northwestern Mutual Identity Center, University of Kentucky Student Center, Capital One by Capital One, Chamberlain Group International Showroom, Founders Brewing Experience Tour, and Grant Thornton locations across the nation.
