Murray Johns grew up swinging a hammer working for his dad in construction as the oldest of 7 kids. His company name, "12-Point" came from Murray's positive experience as a Boy Scout, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and adopting the 12-Points of the Scout Law as a personal compass. University studies took him through the rigors of Mechanical Engineering and business degrees.
After spending time in various technical roles and later in business development for a high-tech firm, Murray Johns decided that he'd be a much happier camper if he had the opportunity to do work in his own local community. The signage and graphics industry is a good match for himpersonally - it's hands-on and provides daily opportunities for problem solving and relationship-building with customers (who often become friends). That local customer circle has since expanded to nationwide work opportunities and relationships. Murray is proud to be part of a great team of people at 12-Point who genuinely care about doing the right thing and working diligently to create a "Wow!" experience for our customers.
In September 2018, Murray Johns enjoyed the opportunity of working with other members of the SEGD Nashville Chapter to create a custom exhibit for Nashville PARK(ing) Day. This project brought a walk-through interactive map display of Nashville’s parks and iconic locations to a small downtown parking space. 12-Point fabricated and installed the display.
