Mike Clare received his higher education at RISD (The Rhode Island School of Design) in Providence, Rhode Island from 2006 - 2010. He also took courses at nearby Brown University. Mike designed consumer products and packaging for FRED as an internship, was a studio assistant for Toots Zynsky and completed a project design internship at Tellart working on group and individual design and interactive technology projects including augmented reality, RFID, Flash, Illustrator and video technologies, all while finishing his education at RISD.
After the completion of his education, he went on to work as a strategist in research, strategy and innovation consulting for Continuum, a global innovation and design consultancy. Continuum's focus for the past three decades has been helping organizations drive business innovation through the design of products, services and experiences. There, Mike planned and conducted qualitative research, as well as analyzed, synthesized and communicated insights. He was directly involved in generating concepts that drove new business and addressed the needs and aspirations of end users.
Mike Clare currently works in experience design and strategy for Control Group, now a part of Intersection, a technology and design company based in New York City. Since 2001, they’ve built a spectrum of capabilities that enable more automated, personalized and integrated experiences across digital and physical environments. Mike leads creative efforts on projects there, from concept generation through implementation.
