As an interaction designer and systems specialist, Michael Schneider is an integral part of ESI Design’s Creative Technology team. He brings a strategic approach to the creative implementation of interactive A/V technologies for a wide range of client projects.
Michael Schneider draws upon his extensive expertise in interactive systems, interaction design, system design and assistive technology to create innovative solutions for projects such as the Shanghai Corporate Pavilion, Terrell Place, Ellis Island Peopling of America Center, and PNC Fairfax Connection.
Prior to joining ESI, Michael Schneider created innovative work for a broad range of institutions including the American Museum of Natural History, Staten Island Children’s Museum and Sydney Museum of Contemporary Art, where he was an artist-in-residence.
In addition to his design work, he teaches a graduate class in the School of Visual Art’s Interaction Design Department (IXD). Previously, he has taught at the School of Visual Arts, New York City College of Technology, New York University, and the Cooper Union School of Engineering.
Prior to receiving his Masters in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU’s Tisch School Interactive Telecommunications Program, Michael Schneider completed a two-year apprenticeship in Korean traditional folk song in Seoul, Korea.
