Michael G. Lewis is the Executive Creative Director for Gallagher & Associates, based in New York City. He's a leader with over twenty years of experience delivering digital products and media experiences for a diverse range of corporate and institutional clients. Coming from a background in user experience design, research, and strategy, he is a passionate advocate for applying user-centered design thinking to a broad range of design challenges.
Michael is a design leader driven by the chance to create experiences that are meaningful, beautiful, and matter to people. Prior to G&A, he spent fifteen years building a career focused on uniting storytelling, technology, and design in diverse contexts. He has led design teams at large technology companies including Bloomberg and Google, creative teams at agencies including R/GA where he was a creative director for five years, and he has led product design for several startups from inception to launch. Mr. Lewis began his career as an architectural designer in New York City where he worked on a mix of public and private projects, including the new Elmhurst Branch of the New York City Public Library, the Staten Island Children’s Museum, and the redesign of Queens Plaza in Long Island City.
His museum experience includes the Jean & Ric Edelman Fossil Park at Rowan University, Gilcrease Museum, and Destination Crenshaw—an outdoor museum and urban design project in Los Angeles.
