Michael Freimuth is the co-founder and creative director of Franklyn, a boutique creative and technology firm based in Brooklyn. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Michael is an award-winning creative director whose work has been recognized by myriad industry organizations including the AIGA, Art Directors Club, the Society of Publication Designers, Print and Communication Arts magazines.

In 2008, Michael Freimuth received the New Visual Artist Award from Print Magazine, a recognition given to the top 20 designers under 30. In 2010 he was selected from an international group of creatives to be one of 50 Art Directors Club Young Guns. Prior to co-founding Franklyn in 2012, he worked with Stefan Sagmeister in his New York studio.

Michael has been a design director at TENDER, creative director at Proximity Magazine, senior designer at VSA Partners, creative director at Lumpen Magazine, and designer at Grady, Campbell Inc.

Michael is an active member of the international design community – serving as a speaker, juror and writer for industry forums. He also regularly warps young minds at the School of Visual Arts and the Maryland Institute College of Art.
