Michael Courtney Design (MCD) is a Seattle-based design and brand alignment firm developing experiential graphics, identities, print and digital solutions.
Michael Courtney Design clients range from Fortune 100 companies to emerging businesses and represent a wide spectrum of categories: health care, business-to-consumer, real estate, professional services, hospitality, entertainment, retail, higher education and cultural, arts and civic institutions.
Current and recent Experiential Graphic Design projects include the Graphics Master Plan for Bellevue’s Lincoln Square Expansion, a $430 million mixed-use project; eight commercial mixed-use projects in Seattle’s booming South Lake Union neighborhood; and a ten-year-long engagement with the University of Utah designing and implementing a campus wide Graphics Master Plan.
Michael Courtney Design has developed graphics for the built environment, wayfinding programs, Master Plans, exhibits, donor recognition and story walls for clients including the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, San Francisco International Airport, the University of Utah, Bellevue Square, Suncadia (resort), Hyatt Regency Bellevue, W Hotel Bellevue, Cornish College of the Arts, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Swedish Hospital Cancer Institute, Esterline Technologies, Paramount Theater, Worker Bees, Kemper Development Company, Vulcan, Inc, PATH, the Everett Clinic, Evergreen Hospital, Seattle Housing Authority,the Woodland Park Zoo, Seattle Design Center, Alexandria Real Estate and the Washington State Convention Center.
Michael Courtney Design has designed branding, print and digital solutions for the University of Washington, Swedish Cancer Center, The Mountaineers, American Seafoods International, Fleishman Office Interiors, Cimera, Uwajimaya Village, Swedish Hospital Cancer Institute, Andrews Landscape Architecture, Seattle Architectural Foundation, SMPS and Mountaineers Books.
