Steven Abel

Steven Abel is Owner and Principal at Steven Abel LLC, a multidisciplinary design consultancy based in Jersey City, New Jersey. Born in Paris, France, Steven studied at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, where he received his Bachelor of Graphic Design degree in 1997. He has been an experiential graphic designer for over 20 years, delivering unique solutions to a broad range of companies and institutions. As Owner and Principal at Steven Abel LLC, Steven has worked with high-profile architects and real estate developers on signage programs throughout the Tri-State area, including recent projects at The Farley Building and 1221 Avenue of the Americas. Prior to establishing Steven Abel LLC in 2009, Steven was Director of Environmental Graphics at Rafael Viñoly Architects, handling signage and wayfinding projects for education, civic, and hospitality clients. From 2002 to 2007, he was Graphic Designer at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in New York, overseeing branding and environmental graphic design solutions for numerous national and international clients. From 1998 to 2002, Steven operated Designol, a New York-based studio focused on print and identity design.
