Simon Lee

Simon Lee is a Director at Maynard, a multi-disciplinary design studio who creates graphics, products and environments for public and private sector clients worldwide.
With a background in pedestrian planning, data collection and modelling, Simon brings a scientific and evidence-based approach to his creative design work.
His experience over the past 13 years includes high profile and major infrastructure projects across the UK, Europe, North America, China and the Middle East. Simon Lee has provided specialist advice for clients across a diverse range of internal and external environments including rail, airports, retail, hospitality, healthcare, events, sporting venues and cultural institutions.
Prior to Maynard, Simon Lee led Atkins Ltd’s Pedestrian Movement and Space Planning team, where he was responsible for initiating and growing the company’s wayfinding design service.
Lee also was an Associate Director at Movement Strategies, where as part of a world-leading people movement and crowd dynamics consultancy, Simon Lee was responsible for the management and direction of projects both within the UK and overseas. In his capacity as Associate Director, Simon supported the overall running of Movement Strategies’ consultancy business in addition to project delivery. Clients included: Tottenham Hotspur F.C.; London Legacy Development Corporation; Canary Wharf Group; The Greenwich Foundation; Quintain. Lee’s core responsibilities included; project direction and management, business development and project acquisition, production and delivery of the business strategy, and line management, mentoring and training.
