New to Design, Ready to Learn

I am just starting on my journey in design. I began working as a project coordinator in April 2023 for a creative agency, which has piqued my interest in learning more about design, especially experiential design. I am an amateur fabricator as a personal interest, and I’ve taken up studying 3D modeling and AR/VR with an interest in creating interactive experiences both for fun and in hopes of using these skills for local activism.
Ask me about
Pretty much anything, I’m an open book!
My super power is
My super power is The Pivot. I’ve been lucky enough to work in a variety of fields and dabble in any number of skills, and it’s become second nature to me, when presented with an unexpected obstacle, to change course and try something new without hesitation. If one avenue closes, I’ll think of three new ones to try instead.
I'm looking for
I’m looking for education!
What I love about experience design
I love the concept of AR/VR because of its potential for accessibility in public spaces and as a sustainable replacement for physical items/experiences. I’m highly concerned about the environment and believe, if embraced, XR could solve many issues with over-production and supply chain logistics and do so in a way that engages people on both individual and community levels.
Best piece of advice I've ever heard
Not so much advice, but meeting someone I now call a friend and hearing them say to just about everything they didn’t have experience with, “I can’t do that…yet,” inspired me to adopt the same worldview.
Where I find Inspiration
I’m inspired by people and community and all of us doing better by one another.
