Chris Venables

Chris Venables is a Senior Lecturer at Southampton School of Art, Design and Fashion (Solent University) delivering on the BA Visual Communication and Applied Arts course (head of level 6) and also the MA in Visual Communication.
Chis Venables is also an independent designer/artist based in Bath. As a designer he creates and delivers visual/corporate identities, completes publications and integrated campaigns using the right combinations of media, including brochures, exhibition design, point of sale, photography, illustration and web design, to reach your audience, that are financially, socially and environmentally sustainable. Chris Venables has extensive experience in all areas of creative art directing in graphic design, moving image and exhibition design. As an artist he produces outcomes that are relevant to an area of interest of his, asemic writing as a form of art therapy.
Appropriateness, simplicity, clarity: these are the guiding principles of Chris Venables’s design work. However, simplicity does not imply a lack of imagination.
