Michael Courtney Design (Seattle) was recently awarded two Awards at the seventh annual MARKETING NW Awards competition. The winners were announced to a sell-out crowd at Seattle’s Bell Harbor Conference Center. The awards recognize separate Donor Recognition projects designed by the firm: the Berney Family Welcome Center and the Seaton Hall Donor Recognition Wall.
At the Berney Family Welcome Center, the project “Creating a Culture of Giving” was designed by MCD for the Kansas State University Foundation. The firm's work is spread throughout the project to recognize the families, individuals and businesses who provided funding to transform the historic building. Located in a historic former sports stadium, the multi-purpose space provides new and prospective student services, tours and financial aid in addition to a career center where departing students can practice real-world skills.
As part of a $70 million expansion of historic Seaton Hall, the MCD team designed two recognition elements for The College of Architecture, Planning & Design (AP Design) at Kansas State University and the Kansas State University Foundation. The "Wall of Thanks" is a visual thank you to the donors, supporters and friends who imagined, designed and funded the project. And, at the Dean’s office, MCD designed specialized recognition for the Endowed Chairs of the College. Client: The College of Architecture, Planning & Design (AP Design) at Kansas State University and the Kansas State University Foundation.
