“Receiving this award on behalf of the McCann Systems teams, the Viacom technical and creative teams, as well as our partners is a great honor,” says Frank McCann, president and CEO of McCann Systems. "This was a true collaboration to create this multidimensional, immersive client experience.”

This year Gold, Silver and Bronze APEX Awards were presented to winners in nine categories from a field of 153 entrants from 11 countries. APEX Awards were individually assessed and juried on the basis of originality and innovation by 13 industry experts and journalists.

Since completion in early 2015, the White Box event space has been recognized for the original thinking, creativity and design of its immersive media experience, including the 2015 AV Technology "Outside of the Box" Award. McCann Systems, along with the Viacom team and partners from LG, X2O Media and Christie Digital hosted a workshop based on the installation at the 2015 InfoComm Connections event in New York.

McCann Systems designed, engineered and sourced the six 4-ft.-wide by 16-ft.-tall LED blade displays that hang from a 190-ft-long custom track inside the Viacom hub at 1515 Broadway, NYC. Inside the store's White Box event space, the blades can be moved to any location along the track and configured in varying combinations or all six together to create a 16:9 aspect ratio. The store also features two massive LG video walls inside the entry and two 12-ft-high by 24-ft.-long LED curtains flanking the main entrance.
