Mathilde Lacroix is a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology, completing a Masters of Art in Exhibition and Experience Design. Previously, Mathilde received an education in Event Design from the École Boulle in Paris, she also participated to an Environmental Design program in Montreal.
Mathilde Lacroix’s undergraduate studies in Event Design was strongly supported by partnerships with diverse companies such as the Moulin Rouge, LVMH, a chocolate factory, a dance festival… It made her conscious of the design process that leads to a project meeting clients expectations while adding her personal voice to the project. Completing that experience with a program more architecturally oriented gave her the necessary knowledges to communicate her ideas to professionals and the technical skills to have realistic and sustainable projects.
Mathilde is a pragmatic person with great dreams, and she wants to make them tangible through showcases, sets, staging. Exhibition and Experience Design field is an endless stimulating and challenging world, which demands to be adaptable and reactive.
Being an Exhibition designer is, according to Mathilde, about making people travel and dream. It is also about taking care of the technical details, making them discreet to let the magic happen.
