Marissa Betley is a Brand Strategist & Designer at Media Objectives @ Valerio Dewalt Train. She received a Master’s Degree in Branding and a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from La Roche College. Marissa’s multifaceted background in brand strategy, interior design and marketing with a key eye for detail come together to deliver experiences that are equally as strategic as they are captivating.
If there’s a better way of designing something, Marissa Betley wants in. She is passionate about great ideas, purposeful design, technology and innovation, and generally, any solution that leads to a more impactful experience in life. She has been fortunate to apply this mindset professionally to a number of exciting positions and collaborations with a mixture of interior design firms, independent designers, entrepreneurs and homeowners. With a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, Marissa has worked as a commercial and residential interior designer, marketing director and graphic designer.
Outside of the her role at Media Objectives, she is working to develop Project 1 in 4,a project she launched in April 2015 to raise awareness and erase the stigmas surrounding mental health. Project 1 in 4 is a daily exploration of the everyday struggles presented by mental illness. Because banishing the stigma of mental illness starts with awareness, and awareness begins with education, mindfulness and empathy.
She was previously owner of Marissa Betley Design, a multidisciplinary design studio focusing on residential and select commercial interiors, as well as graphic design solutions for small businesses. Interior projects range from comprehensive design-build and rehabs to those more singularly focused on furnishings and décor. Graphic projects include print/web marketing materials, event posters and invitations, media kits, and logo designs and brand identity collateral.
In her free time, Marissa enjoys navigating the live music scene, traveling and exploring nature, and immersing herself in all things creative and design-related, including fashion, film and fine art.
