Marisa Edwards joined the Central Park Conservancy in 2016 as Senior Project Manager in the Planning, Design, and Construction Department.
The Central Park Conservancy, a private, not-for-profit organization, was formed in 1980 by a group of concerned citizens determined to improve Central Park.
Marisa is responsible for project, wayfinding, interpretive, and donor signs in Central Park. Marisa collaborates with other departments including Operations, Development, as well as other groups such as the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, to improve and maintain the sign system within the Park.
Marisa Edwards’s wayfinding, design, and project management experience encompasses projects such as Bloomberg (Washington D.C.), NYU Langone Medical Center, Xanadu Meadowlands (now called American Dream Meadowlands), Eaton Corporation, Duane Reade, University of Pennsylvania, Amtrak, and City of Summit (NJ).
Marisa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications from Washington University in St. Louis, with a second major in Psychology.
