Maria Negrão is a Portuguese designer born in 1985 and living and working in Lisbon.
Maria Negrão graduated with a degree in Product Design from the University of Applied Arts, Lisbon, in 2008. After graduation, she first worked with the architects Mercês Vieira & Camilo Cortesão in Oporto.
In 2010 she started her path as a freelance exhibition designer. Two years later she entered the exhibition design masters program at the Fh Joanneum Graz, Austria. During this time Maria was involved in different exhibition projects.
Her master's thesis was the exhibition Saint-Etienne Design Meets Graz for the Design Month of Graz, one of the UNESCO Cities of Design.
Why exhibition design? Because she loves to tell a story, transporting different content in an emotionally compelling way, allowing visitors/users to experiment and explore using all of their senses.
