Man Hui Chan loves art, design, psychology, literature and everything relating to aesthetics—beauty.

Through sensitivity, Man Hui Chan consistently searches for beauty in nature and in the environment surrounding her. Those beautiful things, then, become the inspirational source of her work as a visual communication designer. With great attention to detail and an intuitive approach to design, she is passionate about artistic and poetic expression.

Now at ZGF Architects, she collaborates with an interdisciplinary team of interior designers, architects and urban planners to develop comprehensive branding, identity programs and environmental graphics for architectural spaces. She creates design that aims to encourage interaction and dialogue between people and their environment, and to draw out the poetic qualities that are full of nuances and subtlety to elevate the user experience.

Man Hui Chan believes design is more than just creating something beautiful or meaningful, but respecting the context and drawing a human connection to the audience. In addition to using design to record moments and create cherished memories, Man Hui’s goal is always to make design that matters—design that has a profound emotional impact and connects people in a very human way.

Man Hui Chan holds a Master of Fine Arts in Design degree from California College of Arts.
