Lucy Richards is the SEGD Edinburgh Chapter Chair.
A design business leader for over 25 years, Lucy helps StudioLR maintain the highest standards, nurtures and develops our team, and advises on all key business decisions.
Named in The Drum’s ‘UK top design talent’ alongside Paul Smith, James Dyson and Jonathan Ive and winner of multiple design awards, most recently the best Social Good Campaign at the Nods 2020 for the Any Disability symbol.
Fellow of the RSA and inclusive design champion, Lucy has dedicated her recent career to making a positive impact on society – heading up a new venture, our better-half, Better Company (launching soon).
Member of the Scottish Parliament Cross Party groups on Dementia, and Children and Young People, and the Education Design Council expert panel of the Society of British and International Design.
Proud ambassador for Seamab, a residential school supporting vulnerable children, and supporter of Spartans Community Football Academy, a social enterprise changing lives in North Edinburgh.
Lucy is a frequent conference speaker on a range of topics from creativity in education to design for an ageing population.
