SEGD Boston is excited to continue our virtual programming with a new and unique opportunity to engage with speakers from outside of the Boston Area. Join us for an evening of enchantment, inspiration, and exploration of immersive environments, projection mapping, and virtual reality, with the creative director, and founder of Klip Collective, Ricardo Rivera.
With this new event format we have the opportunity to connect with Ric and learn about his past, as a rave VJ and documentary editor, and his experience as a filmmaker and his work at the Sundance Film Festival. Ric is a true pioneer of video projection mapping, earning him a United States patent for his technological breakthroughs in the medium.
Founded in 2003, Klip Collective is a studio of collaborators including animators, programmers, lighting designers, sound designers, composers and fabricators. The Klip team produces large-scale, immersive installation art throughout the US.
Their experience has afforded Klip the opportunity to partner with clients such as Target, Adidas, Gillette, Red Bull, The Central Park Conservancy, and BalletX. Further opportunities include installations using the natural environment as their canvas. Using light and sound, the Klip team helped Longwood Gardens (Kennett Square, PA) twice to come alive in a whole new way with their Nightscape installation, and followed up these success stories with Infinity Crystal and Desert Chorale part of the Electric Desert installation at the Desert Botanical Garden (Phoenix, AZ).
Let’s give a warm Boston Chapter welcome to our friends from Philadelphia, with this unique opportunity to learn, engage, and be inspired by Ric and Klip’s work in this amazing field of immersive art.
