Leonor Montes de Oca is a Lead Experience Designer at ESI Design, an innovation and experience design consultancy. Leonor received a Master of Arts in Exhibition Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology
Leonor is responsible for the overall look and feel of the physical elements of ESI’s projects, as well as architectural coordination. She oversees the selection of materials and the configuration of spatial layouts and adjacencies.
She earned a BS in Industrial Design from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and started her career working in industrial product design, such as furniture, displays, plastic injection products and also graphic and stage art direction, which led her to be more interested in creating environments.
After receiving an MA in Exhibition Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Leonor Montes de Oca began creating retail experiences and branded environments. She spent nearly 5 years working at the global branding agency and design consultancy Lippincott, where she won awards for projects she did for Monotype, Chevron and Southwest Airlines.
Leonor Montes de Oca sees herself as a storyteller. Through design she leads people on journeys using multiple touchpoints, such as layering mobile and digital technology into physical spaces.
