Leonard Barszap is a senior associate in experience innovation based in Lippincott’s New York office with expertise in the design of retail experience innovation, new store concepts, design documentations and implementation of branded environments.
At Lippincott, he has worked with clients including Delta, eBay, Estée Lauder, Infiniti, RaceTrac, Kiehl’s, Samsung and Value City Furniture.
Leonard Barszap was honored by PAVE (Planning & Visual Education Partnership) as the winner of the 2010 Rising Star Award celebrating the achievements of individuals who have demonstrated talent, vision and implementation in the retail environment. Most recently, Leonard was recognized as one of VMSD magazine’s 2012 Designer Dozen. He currently sits on advisory boards at PAVE and FIT.
Prior to joining Lippincott, Leonard was a senior designer and project manager at d-ash design, where he was responsible for numerous hospitality and retail projects from concept development through implementation and construction, ensuring that all aspects of the designed environment were seamlessly integrated throughout the design process. There, he was actively involved in projects for such clients as Godiva Chocolatier, Group Lotus PLC (Lotus Cars), London Luxury, Mandarin Oriental, Mars, Mercat a la Planxa, Tempur-pedic, The Baronette Renaissance Hotel, The Food Gang and Toasted Oak Grill & Market. Previously, he served as a senior design associate at RGA Architects & Planners, where his roster of projects included Chinese Mission to the UN (NYC), Four Season Ecological Gardens (Shanghai), Luting Plaza (Mixed Use New Town Center, Song Jiang) and master plans for Columbia University, Queens College and the NYC School Construction Authority.
Leonard Barszap holds a B. Arch. with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a LEED accredited professional and a member of the local U.S. Green Building Council.
