New President Julie Vogel approaches her work with a deep-seated respect for the architectural and cultural context of each project, which is grounded in deference to the client’s goals and user experience. A member of the KKA team since 1998 and a Principal since 2009, Julie’s leadership has been instrumental to the firm’s continued success and growth. Her notable projects include the California Academy of Sciences, The Presidio of San Francisco, the Anderson Collection at Stanford University, Wayfinding Master Plan for Stanford Healthcare Medical Center, 181 Fremont Street, and the San Francisco Federal Building.

New Principal Nikki San Miguel has been a member of the KKA team since 2008 and her unique talent for applying integrated designs and efficient management style to her projects has supported her promotion to Principal. In addition to these abilities, Nikki has a proactive and positive approach to realizing a client’s vision and is able to comprehend the overarching goal of a project. Her significant contributions include Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford; Sutter Health CPMC, Van Ness & Geary Campus; UC Berkeley, Clark Kerr Campus; Bing Concert Hall at Stanford University; and the Diane B. Wilsey Center for Opera.

Founding Principal Kate Keating remains a key team member and looks to the future as Julie and Nikki lead KKA on its continued path of helping people navigate and experience their environments.
