A graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in graphic design and participant in the College of Design study abroad program in Rome, Italy, Lea Schuster has spent her professional career as a graphic designer and project manager in Omaha, Nebraska. Her experience spans environmental graphics and recognition displays for educational organizations, corporate offices, technology centers, public safety departments, and healthcare facilities.
Originator and leader of the RDG Planning & Design graphic design department, Lea’s collaborative and committed spirit, expertise and technical knowledge, and passion for design help RDG clients tell their stories through captivating and energizing environmental graphics. As a skilled project manager working with architects, interior designers, community and regional planners and business owners, she oversees projects from start to finish in creative, project management and production capacities. An expert at conceptual design, creating eye-catching environments and integrating meaning through all project details, Lea is passionate about listening and guiding owners to achieve their goals, and working with project teams to creating unique, appropriate and thoughtful designs.
Lea has grown the RDG graphic design department from a solo designer to a full team of design professionals. The team’s work with clients includes environmental graphics, donor recognition, history displays, wayfinding signage, logo development, fundraising materials, document design and website design.
Lea’s projects have been recognized with multiple American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) awards. Additionally, her work at First National Branch Bank at Metro Crossing in Council Bluffs, Iowa, received an SEGD Merit Award.
