Lance Wyman, FSEGD, will be honored at a conference and exhibition at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City. The exhibition Coming & Going: Lance Wyman: Urban Icons will be held October 18, 2014, through February 22, 2015, at the University Museum of Contemporary Art. Wyman, who designed the icons and graphics system for the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, will also lecture there on October 14 and will be interviewed by design historian Dr. Linda King.
On October 29, Wyman will lecture at Parsons The New School for Design. As part of Parsons Lecture Series, Wyman will talk about his five decades of experience designing urban icon systems. He taught spatial graphics at Parsons from 1973 to 2013.
