A retrospective of Lance Wyman's work has been named one of the "Best of 2014" exhibits by arts and culture newsletter Hyperallergic.
Coming & going, Lance Wyman: Urban Icons is on exhibition through February 22 at the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporanéo (MUAC) in Mexico City.
Wyman, an SEGD Fellow, developed groundbreaking environmental graphics for the 1968 Mexico Olympics and, while living in Mexico City, also designed iconic programs for the newly-created Mexico City Metro and the 1970 World Cup. The retrospective features these campaigns and many more from Wyman’s 50-year career.
Hyperallergic noted, "More than simply focusing on the aesthetic qualities of his graphics, the exhibition shows how Wyman was able to convey a wealth of information through an economy of means."
