Kevin Wilhelm’s career has been a dynamic progression from his beginnings in creative services, including graphic, web and communications design, to a number of management and leadership positions. In that capacity, Kevin Wilhelm joined GNU as President and a member of the firm’s leadership team. He works alongside Phil Murphy as the firm prepares for its transition to the third generation.

Kevin earned his BA in Graphic Design from CSU Sacramento, which led to his complete immersion into project creativity and implementation. His early experience was multi-faceted, focusing on print design, digital design and branding for clients from a broad spectrum of businesses and products. During his 15-year tenure with a full-service advertising agency, his positions evolved through Director of Creative Operations, EVP of Operations and, ultimately, Chief Operating Officer.

Kevin discovered early on his aptitude and joy for managing people and effortlessly made the transition from managing creative projects to managing creative teams. In his position at GNU, he is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s professional, financial, administrative and client service performance.
