I'm a creative professional with a passion for creating dynamic and memorable environments. A leader with over twenty years experience in the development of both national and international environmental graphic design programs, I'm skillful in the management of all phases of a design project from initial visualization through implementation and construction administration.
My specialties include:
environmental graphic design, identity development, wayfinding programming, specialty amenity and architectural signage design, branding, project visioning, marketing & business development
My expertise includes the development of environmental graphic design programs for the following project types: retail centers, shopping malls, mixed-use properties, entertainment facilities and residential community properties
I started my design career as an in-house illustrator, developing presentations for a holiday display company providing seasonal decor to shopping centers world-wide. This experience quickly led to the field of environmental graphic design. While employed by international architectural design firms, I've had the privilege to work collaboratively on numerous ICSC and ULI award-winning national and international projects. These include Easton, which is credited as the nation's first neo-traditional retail town center development. In addition, my work has appeared in numerous graphic and sign design publications to great accolades.
After all these years, I'm still very enthusiastic about my career choice and the collaborative opportunities the design industry offers. I enjoy mentoring and helping to expand the environmental graphic design profession through my involvement with SEGD (Society of Experiential Graphic Design), having served as the Charlotte Chapter Chair.
I'm currently serving as a Principal and the Director of Environmental Graphic Design in 505Design's Charlotte Studio.
