Katrin Middel is a partner of Polyform in Berlin, Germany. Polyform, a design firm in Berlin Germany founded in 1999, is known for corporate design, wayfinding, digital media, and exhibition projects.

Katrin Middel began her career in design at FH Münster, a University of Applied Sciences in Münster Germany, with a study focus in Visual communication and Illustration. Katrin Middel continued studying at the Swinburne University of Technology, with a focus on Design and graduating with a Bachelor degree with Honors.

Katrin’s design experience consists of Senior Designer at Razorfish in London, UK, Senior Designer at Imagination in London, a Designer at iconmobile group in Berlin, Senior Designer at MetaDesign, and Art Director at minigram. Katrin Middel’s most recent experiences have been with Polyform, with seven years as a designer, and eight years as a co-partner.

Middel specializes in wayfinding, design strategy, interaction design, typography, corporate identity, art direction, design management, concept development, logo design, illustration, and service design. Katrin Middel and Polyform are known for the 2016 SEGD Award winning project Haus der Bildung Bonn. This building, the House of Education became the new home of the Adult Education Center and the Municipal Library of the City of Bonn, Germany.
