Kathy Johnston is in Business Development with M3 | Messenger, a 90 year old national design/build firm in Seattle and the New York area specializing in environmental design & fabrication, brand development and graphic design.  From an upstart shoe store (Nordstrom, 43 year relationship) to an Italian-inspired coffee concept (Starbucks, 22 year relationship) to a software company (Microsoft, 12 year relationship), these international visionaries have led M3 into other exciting verticals such as transportation, sports, entertainment, recreation and grocery.

A graduate of the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business (and a rabid Husky fan), Kathy has been in the environmental graphic design/build world for over 20 years.  With an office in New England, she builds strong client relationships primarily in the NE, as well as the Pacific NW. 

Previously, Kathy founded a project management and construction administration firm for comprehensive, complex signage and environmental graphics projects focused on integrating the planning, design and construction phases.  Her strength lies in collaborating with EG designers, architects, contractors, developers, owners and fabricators to deliver highly designed, creative projects on time and budget.  Kathy was also a partner and Vice President for over a decade for a Seattle-based custom EG fabricator building significant national projects for corporate, retail, campus, health care, technology, restaurant, grocery, transportation, higher ed, branding and identity conversions.  She retained major long-term clients such as Boeing, Microsoft, AT&T Wireless, REI, Portland International Airport, University of WA, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Safeco Insurance and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

When Kathy isn't perched on a field rooting on her 2 kids in their many sporting events, she can be found cycling or skiing the rolling New England hills, as well as donating her time to local youth sports and schools.  She and her family savor their annual Summer trips to the Pacific NW to spend time with Seattle & Portland family, catch large salmon at their fishing lodge in Desolation Sound and soak up the Oregon coast.
