Kate is the co-founder and executive director of Design Impact, a non-profit social innovation firm. Since starting Design Impact in 2009, Kate has grown the organization from a small idea to a full-fledged multi-disciplinary design team that uses innovative approaches to address pressing community needs. Her journey has focused on the creation of inclusive learning environments that spark social change, the redesign of systems and services, and the building of partnerships across sectors. She has spoken in various settings such as Creative Mornings, TEDx, the Aspen Institute, and the National Endowment for the Arts, and her work has been published through media outlets such as Stanford Social Innovation Review, Fast Company, Living Cities, and GOOD. She is listed as one of Public Interest Design’s Top 100 Global Designers, and recently received Cincinnati's Forty Under 40 Award.
