Julio Correa is an Interaction Designer at frog design in Austin, TX.
Julio Correa graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in Design and a BSA in Computer Science. During his time at UT Austin, he was involved in Design For America and Mobile App Development. Julio Correa studied abroad for six months at Glasgow School of Art where he explored the intersection of emerging technology and design and was introduced to processing, physical computing (Arduino), Unity, and speculative design.
In an interview for the University of Texas Austin's School of Design and Creative Technologies, Julio says he "fell in love with design when he was a junior in college while majoring in computer science. He was taking a course in visual communication, a graphic design course, and had just taken architecture and society. Julio realized that design and computer science intersected. He felt that design could help people interact with computers in meaningful ways and saw it as a natural extension of his studies in computer science."
Prior to working with frog design, Julio Correa worked as a UX/UI Design Intern for IBM Watson and a Product Design Intern at Uber.
