SEGD Member and Chief Innovation Officer at Exit Design, Julie Krohner, recently gave a talk at TEDxCambridgeUniversity, which shows how immersive media like VR can provide an unparalleled opportunity for cultivating empathy. Immersive storytelling is becoming more mainstream and people feel as if they've been dropped into a news story as it's unfolding. This feels vastly different from watching or reading the news, and our brains count it as a lived experience. How will humans change when the passive information age becomes the active experience age?
