Joseph Mackereth is a wayfinding and environmental designer currently working at Philadelphia Sign Company. He is an advocate for the societal benefits of wayfinding and information design.
In his previous role as Environmental and Interactive Designer at Gecko Group, Joseph Mackereth had the opportunity to work with institutions from across the country—developing museum exhibits from the ground up and connecting visitors with the space around them in a profound and inspired way. Joseph also provided interactive design and programming for a variety of digital experiences.
In his current position as Wayfinding Operations Manager, he oversees the development and implementation of wayfinding systems for healthcare and corporate clients. Joseph Mackereth manages a small team of experts working to create effective wayfinding solutions for large and complex spaces.
Joseph has been a professional illustrator for over ten years, providing illustrations to magazines, book publishers and advertising agencies. He also teaches art workshops at local art centers.
Joseph earned his BFA from Tyler School of Art and his MALS from Hollins University.
