Joe Girandola is a professional artist originally from Baltimore, Maryland, USA, and he has exhibited work both nationally and internationally. Some of the exhibitions include the Red Bull Arts Center, NYC; ArtPrize(3X) Grand Rapids, MI; Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Los Angeles; Arnot Art Museum, New York; Winslow Garage Gallery, Los Angeles; r3 Gallery, San Diego; Kunsthalle Wien, Austria; 1997 Kwangju Biennial, South Korea; Atlanta Center for Contemporary Art (Nexus) Biennial, Georgia. Girandola has been the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant and has received residency fellowships at the MacDowell Colony, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, DUCTAC Art Center, Dubai (UAE), among others. He has taught visual arts at Pomona College, University of the Arts, University of Cincinnati, Ohio and the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Girandola has been the Residency Director at the Bemis Center, Assistant Director at the Santa Fe Art Institute, Interim Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at DAAP, and is currently the President and CEO of the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
