Jonathan Healey is the Assistant Director at the Ethics Lab at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Jonathan is an architectural, product, and experience designer based in Washington, DC. Currently a Professor of the Practice at Georgetown University, Jonathan leads the creative projects and outreach efforts of the Ethics Lab at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics. His role at the KIE combines his interests in education design, interdisciplinary learning strategies, and human-centered practices.
Jonathan Healey has been a member of faculty at the Corcoran College of Art + Design, George Washington University and University of Maryland. His courses focus on creative process and experience design at the intersection of physical and digital landscapes. His professional practice spans disciplines and scales, including urban planning, architecture, exhibition design, and sensor-connected digital products. He has joined design juries at Catholic University, MICA, MIT, Morgan State University, and RISD.
Jonathan Healey’s recent projects have been recognized across industries and discipline, including Best New Product by Security Products Magazine, for Brivo's mobile applications, and an AAM MUSE Honor Award, for the Corcoran's HacktheBox project. He has served on the board of Grace Episcopal Day School in Kensington, Maryland. In 2005 he was a member of Jeanne Claude & Christo’s installation crew for "The Gates" in Central Park, New York.
Jonathan Healey earned an M.Arch from the University of Maryland and BA in Sociology from Connecticut College, and completed programs at Parsons (New School) and the Ghost Lab (Nova Scotia).
