It is customary to introduce yourself in Navajo with your clans which mine are Tábąąhí (Water’s Edge/Among the Waters) - My Mothers side, Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the-Water) My Father's side, Bit’ahnii — (Within His Cover) Paternal Grandmother, and Hashk’ąąn Hadzohí (Yucca Fruit Strung Out/Banana) Paternal Grandfather. I grew up in a small community called Iyanbito which is located on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico.
When I first got into Graphic Design I was not expecting to make a career out of it but at some point in my life I guess you could say it has. I always wanted to be a musician which I still am but more for the likes of enjoyment. It was not until I joined a awesome team of EGDs that I considered learning the knowledge of what entails a environmental graphic designer. At this point I don't think I need to go into specifics as this is SEGD and by now everyone knows the basis of an EGD and I am sure I have a lot to learn on this journey.
I do enjoy learning, creating, and collaborating on many projects that been assigned to me or have took on. I never take any of it for granted as we say in our work space that "Our environment shapes our experience". My only goal for the future is to expand and grow in the field of Experiential Graphic Design.
