John Hutchinson is a skilled listener capable of developing design concepts that consider the needs of multiple stakeholders; a natural artist with proven expertise in design concept visualization; and a lifelong learner with degrees in Industrial Design, Business Management, and a Master of Science in Education.
Throughout his career, John Hutchinson has been involved in nearly 100 exhibit projects covering close to half a million total square feet of space ranging from 500 to 35,000 per project. His roles have varied from creative direction and project management to construction drawing documentation and installation supervision. Projects John has worked on at LHSA+DP include the 9/11 Tribute Museum in New York City; Hisense Electronics International Consumer Electronics Show 2017 & 2018 in Las Vegas; American for Bulgaria Foundation Pirogov Hospital Children's Ward Interior Renovation in Sofia, Bulgaria; Ezra Abraham to Life Foundation Activity Room Renovation at the Hospital for Special Surgery Lerner's Children Pavilion in New Work, the Children’s Gallery and Bugs Gallery at the Royal Alberta Museum in Edmonton, Alberta; One River School in Englewood, NJ; and an international children’s science center in Turkey, which included various satellite projects such as a visitor center and traveling exhibits.
In addition to his professional positions John Hutchinson has done freelance and consulting work for Williams-Sonoma, Inc., AOL-Time Warner, and the City of Brotherly Love Softball League. Additionally John has been commissioned professionally for illustrations, paintings and murals.
