Johanna Pedersen is a highly creative and accomplished designer. Her specialities include: museum and exhibit design, environmental graphics, signage and wayfinding, placemaking and branded experiences. She is Senior Environmental Graphic Designer at Kate Keating Associates in San Francisco where she works with interdisciplinary teams on projects spanning multiple markets including healthcare, transportation, education and culture. Johanna worked previously at SOM, HGA, Gallagher & Associates, and as an independent consultant designing and collaborating on complex and large-scale museum and corporate projects.

Her unwavering resourcefulness, strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills, keen sense of organization and close attention to detail has translated into highly organized and effective experiential environments that represent her passion for communicating branded stories in the built environment. Johanna has lent her expertise and talents to projects such as: SFMoMa Parking Garage in San Francisco; signage for the new terminal at The San Francisco International Airport; AAA headquarters relocation in Walnut Creek, CA; Visa Inc. tenant improvement in Palo Alto, CA; Hiller Aviation Museum façade in San Carlos, CA; Environmental graphics and signage for RealPage headquarters build-out in Richardson, TX; Quicken environmental graphics in Menlo Park, CA; Sitecore environmental graphics in San Francisco, PayPal signage & wayfinding in San José, CA; Saint Paul Academy and Summit School Donor Recognition Wall and signage in Minneapolis.

Before moving to the Bay Area, Johanna Pedersen worked as lead exhibit and visual identity graphic designer for: Google Partner Plex in Sao Paulo, Brazil; The Grammy Mississippi Museum, The International Spy Museum in Washington DC, The Witte Museum in Texas, Johnson & Johnson museum in New Brunswick and the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. She was awarded for Outstanding Excellence in Exhibitions from the Canadians Museums Association for the design the Afghanistan: A Glimpse of War  traveling exhibit.

Johanna Pedersen has a Master’s Degree in Visual Communication Design from the University of Alberta, Canada; a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from University of Buenos Aires, Argentina; and a Digital Technologies in Design Certification from Concordia University, Canada.
