Jim Parrillo is an MFA Candidate in Interaction Design at Rochester Institute of Technology focusing on User Experience, interactive displays, physical computing, educational installations, projection mapping, motion graphics, branding and type design. My graduate thesis explores a modern re-creation of European Paleolithic cave art through an immersive and interactive exhibit.
Jim Parrillo has 10+ years experience in art direction, branding, interaction design, user interface /user experience (UI/UX) design, responsive design and website architecture / planning. He is currently working as a UX Designer for REDCOM Laboratories in Victor, New York. The UX Specialist is primarily responsible for researching user needs, designing and managing Product UI, and performing user testing for REDCOM products. This responsibility comprehends every aspect of how users interact with REDCOM products - from the look and feel of the design, to compliance with corporate branding standards, to the words used to describe functionality, to how tasks are structured within applications.
Jim Parrillo also have a BA in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois and 15 years experience as a Project Manager in the wireless communications and land development industries.
