An Education on How Experience is Driving Our Economy

What if you took a look through the eyes of "professional observer" Jim Gilmore? Maybe you wouldn't see any difference as you already observe and absorb the world through with all of your senses. Maybe you are already a creative that experiences the world through a kaleidoscope of technicolor and emotion. And maybe you are already an expert in bringing your mind palace projects to the physical world for others to experience. But, perhaps, you are unaware of the very real impact and value your talent for creating experiences has on today's consumer.

The experience economy is upon us.

Now, what does that mean to those of us employed to help companies and businesses brand or rebrand themselves and reach their customers in today's marketplace?

This means that consumers are no longer in the market solely for physical goods or even services, but rather consumers crave the experience that a brand can/ should provide.

Jim Gilmore, the co-author of the Experience Economy and Xlab 2019 Keynote, is set to inspire and educate attendees on how experience is driving today's consumer economy. How can we take a client's ideas and branding, and build an experience around them that generates the most value and communicates most effectively to the consumer?

Jim will touch on how the consumer market has shifted to a more experience-based economy and how the EGD industry can and is creating valuable experiences for the future.

Mr. Gilmore is currently an Assistant Professor in the Innovation and Design department in the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He is also a Batten fellowand adjunct lecturer at the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia, where he teaches a course on the Experience Economy. Mr. Gilmore is also a visiting lecturer in Apologetics at Westminster Seminary California, where he teaches a course on cultural hermeneutics.
