Jim Cortina is a Principal and Director of Development at Cortina Productions in Mclean, Virginia
Jim Cortina directs business development and strategic partnerships for Cortina Productions. He directs the Cortina Productions development team to deliver creative treatments, budgeting and scheduling proposals. Jim keeps a keen eye on the unique requirements of all our potential clients and hand selects our principal lead and project team members best suited for delivering on our client’s mission.
Jim Cortina – along with principal Amy Maddox – guided our expansion into the museum media business in 2000, and his extensive contacts in the museum design and production services allows Cortina Productions to build cross-discipline solutions for delivering on a variety of our clients’ needs.
In addition to his business development role, Jim Cortina is also actively engaged in media design, concept development, and graphics design where he works directly with exhibition designers and client teams to develop media strategies. His co-producer work on Little Boy and the Seven Grandfathers for the National Museum of the American Indian was a awarded a gold MUSE Award, and the signature film for the Montreal Canadiens Hall of Fame captured a CINE Golden Eagle Award.
Jim graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science, Economics. Like all Cortina Production principals, Jim provides our clients presentation services to public and private stakeholders.
