Jessica Roach has had a love for art and design since as long as she could remember. As a graduate Graphic Communication Design Major with a Minor in Fine Art, Jessica Roach has developed a passion for brand development, packaging design, environmental design, illustration, and finding that surprising, quirky, or outside-the-box solution to a design problem. Through the co-op program in college at DAAP, Jessica Roach had the opportunity to work for The Chesapeake Group, Cincinnati; Selbert Perkins Design, Los Angeles; AD Creative, London, UK; and Arrowstreet, Boston. Jessica is a new member of SEGD but was able to contribute to the behind-the-scenes of the Boston chapter events "Neon: Past, Present, & Future" and "Murals – Under the Surface" hosted by Arrowstreet and SEGD. At these events, she learned so much from fellow sign-lovers and muralists alike, opening up whole areas of art, design, and placemaking that she hadn't previously thought about.
Jessica looks forward to delving more into the area of environmental and experiential design. Outside the office and design realm, you might find her tackling on the rugby field, working with clay on the pottery wheel, testing out some new recipes in the kitchen, or hiking around the closest mountains and valleys she can find. Jessica can often be heard saying, "I need coffee”—sometimes with a coffee already in hand.
