He previously worked as an information designer and researcher at City-ID, a wayfinding and environmental graphic design firm based in New York City and Bristol, England, and as an archivist and gallery curator at Ford, Powell and Carson Architects and Planners in San Antonio, TX.
Jason Azar received his Masters Degree Summa Cum Laude in Design and Urban Ecologies from the Parsons School of Design in New York City, where his coursework and research revolved around community-based urban design, cartography, and urban policy. His thesis was centered around alternative design methods to rehabilitating former industrial sites as community-wealth building institutions in the city of San Antonio, TX.
Prior to Parsons, Jason Azar graduated Magna Cum Laude from Trinity University with degrees in Urban Studies and Art History.
Jason is originally from El Paso, Texas and now calls Austin, Texas home.
