James Hallock’s body of work is diverse, multifaceted, empathetic and encompasses a wide spectrum of solutions to help solve problems and promote storytelling across to all audiences and backgrounds. His over 18 years of real world work experience is just the beginning and has the passion and drive to work collaboratively with any creative team with the same energy to learn and bring ideas to life from beginning to reality. He has a unique aptitude at merging both the technical and creative aspects of design, while keeping people and team collaboration first.

James studied graphic design at the Corcoran College of Art and Design, graduating with honors in 2004. He began his career as a designer at Gallagher & Associates working on award winning projects including: The Normandy Visitor Center, The Mob Museum, The National World War II Museum and The Gettysburg Museum. Here he refined his own approach to conceptualization problem solving while working closely with a wide range of multidisciplinary project teams, clients and specialized experience consultants.

In 2010, he expand his creative journey working as senior graphic designer at MKTG INC, one of the top pioneers and practitioners of lifestyle marketing around the world with some of the largest brand names in the world including: Nike, Google, Nintendo, Beats by Dre and Diegeo. Crafting project pitch concepts to fully comprehensive nationwide mobile activations and branded tours.

In 2012, James joined Gallagher & Associates Asia in Singapore. During that time James was a hands-on creative lead on all major government and private tender competitions and design proposals. As director he led by example, guided younger designers and helped directly manage projects with supervision of the studio director and senior staff. During this time he worked on projects including: the Singapore Zoo, Botanic Gardens Heritage Museum, special exhibitions at the ArtScience Museum and National Gallery Singapore. He also helped expand the studio’s growth as a major design firm to compete within the region and globally. 

In 2015, James moved back to DC to join the Gallagher & Associates studio as creative director graphics. He continued to help lead his graphic department and was assigned creative lead on many award winning projects including: The United States Olympic and Paralympic Museum, The International Spy Museum, Johnson & Johnson Museum and Toyota Visitor Experience Center.
