Irene Ng was born and raised in the small ranching community of Elko, Nevada. She earned a Master of Architecture and Minor in Art while studying at the University of Idaho. After graduating she moved to Portland, OR where she practiced Architecture in the private sector for 15 years. Her portfolio consists of performing arts centers, higher education facilities, and aviation. In 2016, Irene joined the Port of Portland as the Sr Manager of Site and Facility Design. Irene manages a team of 3 who are responsible for reviewing conformance to Terminal design standards and issuing Port permits for tenant work at Portland International Airport (PDX). In addition to her management responsibilities she led the team in creating the 2017 Signage Masterplan and is a key stakeholder in all of the PDX Next Program, a $2 billion improvement project for PDX.
