IMG Launches Imago Interior Signs

Image Manufacturing Group(Atlanta) launched Imago, a new architectural sign system designed for corporate, retail, healthcare, hospitality, and other interior environments.

Imago is a modular sign system consisting of base and component signs that, when combined or standing alone, form a creative, brand-focused system. Accessories and finishes provide the flexibility to create a wide range of sign types, from blade signs to desk and cubicle signs and room/facility identification.

IMG President and COO Craig Johnson says the system design was influenced by decades of collaboration with environmental designers, architects, and end users.

“The vision for Imago came from working with design firms on custom architectural signage projects for many years. A consistent message we would hear from them is that they wanted something new that the market had not seen before," he notes. "The system had to be modular and flexible. It had to fit budgets and design requirements that were in a unique niche. They needed ‘custom’ without paying for custom. We believe Imago fills the need and will have a big impact on the way designers and end users choose and specify sign systems moving forward.”

IMG soft-launched the new system at the 2015 SEGD Conference: Experience Chicago in June. "Feedback from SEGD members was extremely positive,” says Dan Bryant, EVP of Engineering & Product Development. “We made final adjustments to the system, and we’ve already begun to install the product in a few spaces. More are in production, and we’re excited to see how designers are adapting the product for different types of spaces. It really is remarkable how the customization of the product makes it work with designers and their clients.”

Imago is available in multiple configurations including standard, premium, and custom. Each configuration allows for increased amounts of creativity and flexibility while providing the designer and end user the ability to manage budgets. By changing the sign inserts from standard Rowmark colors to laminates or digital prints, the sign design takes on new life. Changing the metal finish allows the product to mesh with other interior design elements. Utilizing the sign accessories allow for creative use of the signs in various applications.
