Holmes Wood (London) has been appointed to work on the new Visitor Mapping Strategy for the American Museum of Natural History in New York. This is the design firm’s first project for a major American museum.
The project goal is to translate and extend the inspiration found in the museum’s actual galleries to all areas of the site. This includes entrances and exits, lobbies and check-in areas, stairs, elevators and corridors, food court, and shops. It also includes the on-line environment.
Holmes Wood is collaborating with the New York media design firm Local Projects on the digital aspects of the assignment.
