Dyal and Partners was founded and is led by Herman Ellis Dyal, FAIA, a design strategist, architect and graphic designer with over 35 years of experience.
Prior to founding Dyal and Partners, he served as the Chief Creative Officer and CEO of fd2s.
Herman Dyal has been an architect with the New York office of Philip Johnson, and an architect with Skidmore Owings & Merrill.
He received a Master of Architecture degree from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from The University of Texas at Austin. He has served as a Visiting Artist at the University of Houston, a Visiting Critic at Rice University, and has lectured at various schools, universities, and conferences.
Herman Dyal has served on the Board of Directors of the Rice Design Alliance, is on the AIGA Austin Advisory Committee, and is the co-organizer of Pecha Kucha Night Austin.
In 2010 Herman Dyal was elected to The College of Fellows of The American Institute of Architects. The Jury of Fellows cited Dyal's "notable contributions to the advancement of the profession of architecture."
Herman Dyal's work has received numerous awards and has appeared in major design and architecture publications.
