Heekyoung Jung is currently an assistant professor of Interaction Design in the School of Design Architecture and Planning at University of Cincinnati. The School of Design is innovative in teaching and in transforming the design disciplines by infusing learning with the newest design thinking methods and technologies.
Heekyoung Jung studied industrial design for her BS and MS at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and completed her PhD in the School of Informatics at Indiana University with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction Design. She has worked on design and research projects for various forms of interactive applications including screen-based and tangible ones, and published at the International Conference on Tangible, Embodied and Embedded Interaction, the Nordic Conference on Human-Computer Interaction, and International Journal of Design. The special emphasis of her work lies in the creative form-making process, streamlined information navigation, and engaging user experiences.
Heekyoung Jung teaches interaction design studios through research-, scenario-, and prototyping-based approaches, and recently completed sponsored projects on front-end system design for flight experience, lift-truck driving experience, and patient data organization and visualization.
